UFO Sighting UK New Years Eve 2017
UFO Sightings in UK on New Years Eve 2017. UFO spotted in UK as 2018 approached. Recent UFO sightings from last year.
A mysterious fireball was seen gliding through the United Kingdom air on New Years Eve – making it a new years transition to never be forgotten.
British citizens were in for a spectacle in the night skies – and not just the usual firework celebrations as we go into the new year.
UFO news reports that around 679 claimed to have seen a UFO sighting on the last day of the year in the United Kingdom.
However, the truth behind the reported UFO sightings was a lot more normal than an extraterrestrial visitor from a distant planet.
The fireball skimmed across the British night sky at around 17:35 UT, and was seen by hundreds of on lookers.
Contrary to the UFO news reports, the International Meteor Organisation (IMO) and UK Meteor Networked both confirmed that the fireball was the cause of a meteor, and not a UFO.
“More than 150 witnesses reported a very bright meteor observed around 17h 35min UT, on December 31, and reports keep coming in!” as reported by the IMO.
This is not the first time, nor will it be the last, that a fireball meteor flying through the sky has been confused with a UFO sighting.
At the back end of 2017, a UFO sighting was reported to UFO news, which even had CCTV footage of the UFO to back up the claims.
The UFO sightings came from Canada and the images from the CCTV shown a glowing ball flying through the night sky. However, it was later proposed that the alleged UFO images were actually just a meteor.
Either way, it is still a spectacular sight to see such images from a meteor – even if they are not a UFO from an alien life form.
